This policy explains how Pathways collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Account details: your name and email address.
Intake answers: nationality, age, occupation, education, English level, work experience, family situation and prior visa history.
Documents you upload: identity, relationship, employment, financial, health and character documents.
Usage data: pages visited and actions taken within the app.
Some of this is sensitive information. We collect it only because it is necessary to build your visa checklist, and only with your consent.
To generate your roadmap and document checklist, track your deadlines, answer your questions in the app, process your payment, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Only with service providers that operate the app on our behalf: our hosting and database platform, Stripe for payment processing, and AI processing providers used to generate checklists and answer your questions. We do not lodge anything with the Department of Home Affairs for you and we do not share your data with them.
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information consistently with this policy.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access controls restrict your records to your own account. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not upload documents you do not need us to hold.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual documents at any time, and you can request full deletion of your account and data by emailing yourpathwaysvisa@gmail.com. We may retain limited payment records where the law requires it.
You can view and correct your profile in the app at any time, and request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
If you are concerned about how we handled your information, contact us first at yourpathwaysvisa@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
